Germany are more stable and stronger with the return of Toni Kroos, according to 28-year-old forward Leroy Sane football.

Germany forward Leroy Sane has hailed Toni Kroos, the 34-year-old midfielder who has brought back the stability and solidity. That was previously a weakness to the German national team ahead of Friday’s Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Spain. Sky Germany reported on Tuesday UFABET

Sane was named on the bench for all three group games. Before Julian Nagelsmann brought on the 28-year-old forward in place of Florian Wirtz for the 2-0 win over Denmark in the last 16. And they prepare to face Spain, the only team in the tournament to have won their past four games.

‘We have to control our game and then we can hurt Spain.’ Sane said ahead of Friday’s Euro 2024 quarter-final clash with Spain.

Both Germany and Spain have won the European Cup three times, more than any other nation. But the Eagles were humiliated 6-0 by the Bulls in the 2020 Nations League, a defeat that Sane admitted was painful.

Sane says:

‘A big defeat hurts a lot but that’s in the past.’ Sane says of humiliating defeat to Spain in the UEFA Nations League

The 28-year-old forward also spoke about Toni Kroos’ return to the national team. After announcing his retirement from the German national team in 2021. Saying it would help bring more stability to Germany.

‘We didn’t have much stability before, that was our big weakness.’ Sane said. ‘He took away that weakness with the composure he brings. Things are going well now and we’re glad he’s back and he’s made us stronger.’

Sane will make his first start for Germany in 2024 against Denmark in the round of 16 at Euro 2024. But it remains unclear whether Nagelsmann will continue to field the 28-year-old forward.

‘It’s not clear yet whether I’ll start or not, but the team’s trust in coach Julian Nagelsmann’s decision is what makes us special.’ Sane said.
